Happy Thanksgiving! What are you thankful for?
November 26, 2020Instant Insights: Browns take down the Jaguars, 27-25, to move to 8-3 on the season
November 29, 2020Looking to prove yet again that they are, in fact, one of the best teams in the country, the Ohio State Buckeyes could be without a handful of players this weekend (and the rest of the regular season), as reports have surfaced that 8-9 players in the program have tested positive for COVID-19. If so, that would mean that they would have to sit out 21 days, as that’s the Big Ten rule this season.
That said, no matter who is suiting up for the scarlet and gray, they still have to impress the College Football Playoff committee. Illinois might not be the toughest matchup, but they cannot take the Fighting Illini lightly, as they have won their last two games after starting the season 0-3.
In case the Buckeyes needed some motivation or to get amped up for the matchup in Champaign Saturday afternoon, Ohio State’s video and graphics team is once again here to save the day, both for the team and Buckeye Nation.
“When you invest so much, when you sacrifice so much, you can’t let it go,” head coach Ryan Day tells his team. ““Don’t let this team get in the way of that. Don’t let them get in the way of one of the best stories that could be in the history of college football. It’s my job to remind you that that’s available. That’s an option. Everybody’s watching – the nation’s watching. And you can still do it. It’s all there for you. The sacrifices that have been from way back when in March – you don’t let go. You do not let this team get in the way of that.”
Still, somehow, not ready yet? I’m sure you have chills and might even want to run through a brick wall as well.
The big hits, the touchdowns, the stiff arms, the big-time plays. It’s all included. Getting a glimpse of the types of things Day says to his team to get them ready just makes it better.
Oh, and to add a little more excitement to Saturday: Ohio State will wear an alternate uniform, with an all-white “icy” look. It’s their traditional road jerseys but with white pants instead of gray. They’re fire.

The Buckeyes and Illini kick off at 12 p.m. ET Saturday afternoon. An interesting note: Due to the game being in Champaign, Illinois, it will start at 11 a.m. local time. Ohio State might need to watch this hype trailer a few times to make sure they’re ready to go prior to game time.
