Friday nights in the fall are made for high school football; Saturdays in the fall are made for college football. Unfortunately, the Big Ten forgot about that and decided to have one Friday night game every week during the conference season. This week, it’s the Ohio State Buckeyes.
While many fans aren’t happy (and deservedly so), the scarlet and gray are on the road, set to take on the Northwestern Wildcats this week.
After having a bye week last weekend, the Buckeyes are ready to go. To be quite honest, it seems like they have been off for much more than just one week. Ohio State may be a huge favorite away from home Friday night, but they still must be prepared. They can’t afford to let up and must dominate when they can. The Buckeyes can’t afford to look past Northwestern as if it’s a trap game either. With Wisconsin coming to Columbus next weekend, they can ill afford to take the Wildcats lightly this week, even if the scarlet and gray are big-time favorites.
In case Buckeye Nation, the coaches, or players need a little adrenaline rush to get ready for the game, the Ohio State Buckeyes video and graphics team is here to save the day once again with a fantastic video trailer.
“There are two things that they don’t have,” head coach Ryan Day tells him team moments before they walk out into the Blackout in the Shoe against Michigan State. “They don’t have the love. Love is the most dangerous and the most powerful thing. The second thing is that we have a bunch of guys in here that ain’t afraid to die.”
Halfway through the season, there are plenty of highlights from the first six games of the season mixed in throughout the video. Whether it’s big runs, big completions, interceptions, fumbles, sacks, big hits, or touchdowns, the trailer is filled with plenty o big-time highlights from a bunch of Buckeyes. The black uniforms, the scarlet uniforms, the white uniforms. It has all of it.
The Past. Is Dead And Gone. The Best. Is Yet To Come.
The fight continues Friday night in Evanston, Illinois. Kickoff between the Buckeyes and Northwestern is set for 8:30 p.m. ET.
