Let’s be honest, it’s tough to get up, excited, and amped for a game like Saturday afternoon’s one for the Ohio State Buckeyes. It’s Ohio State football, so that should be enough right there, but with the scarlet and gray nearly 40-point favorites over Miami (Ohio) this weekend, it won’t be much of a game at all.
Head coach Ryan Day and the rest of the coaching staff will make sure the Buckeyes are focused, but in terms of the crowd, it’s most likely that it will be a bit dead, especially as the game goes on and the score becomes much more lopsided. Even if the crowd isn’t as hyped up as what it would be for a big game, Ohio State absolutely has to take care of business and blow the Redhawks away, taking control of the game from the start.
In case the coaches, players, or fans still need a little bit of energy ahead of Saturday’s game, Ohio State’s video and graphics team is here to save the day with yet another outstanding hype trailer, one that features plenty of highlights from the first three games of the season, most of which are from last Saturday’s win at Indiana.
“You’re 3-0. You’re 1-0 in the Big Ten and we have to keep building on this because we can be the best,” Day tells his team. “One game at a time. Stick together. Don’t forget what got you here right here, right now.”
“It will be just us against everybody and I don’t care because we’re going to play harder and we’re going to play longer than you,” offensive coordinator Kevin Wilson says.
This will be the third and final game of the non-conference slate for the Buckeyes. After this weekend, they will have four straight night games. Ohio State loves the primetime spotlight, they just have to make sure they dominate and blowout Miami before looking ahead at the rest of the schedule.
The Buckeyes and Redhawks are set to kickoff at 3:30 p.m. ET from Ohio Stadium.
