LeBron James, the Los Angeles Lakers, and hack sitcom storytelling
November 9, 2018Wins and Lessons with the Cavs: Doom
November 9, 2018The Ohio State Buckeyes have plenty to both improve and prove with just three games left in the regular season. Still ranked No. 10 in the latest Playoff rankings, they have to force the committee to look at them.
That all starts this weekend in East Lansing. In a top-20 showdown, the Buckeyes are set to take on No. 18 Michigan State. It could be a way for Ohio State to prove that they are better than they have shown the past couple weeks. Against a gritty Spartans team that has college football’s top-ranked run defense.
To get Buckeye Nation ready for the game, Ohio State has released yet another outstanding trailer. Filled with plenty of highlights, many of which feature the Buckeyes’ black jerseys from last week, the video shows plenty of hard-hitting, touchdown-making plays while making sure to get the viewer ready for the game.
“Right now the whole outside world is pointing at us. Take all your ego and put it outside. It’s about this brotherhood right here. This ain’t about scheme, men. It’s about how hard can we play, how hard can we play as a group? For the guy next to you?
“Toughness. You’re on the road, in Spartan Stadium. The toughest team wins, and toughness is a mindset.”
Urban Meyer and Michigan State head coach Mark Dantonio have had their fair share of close games and upsets. If the last few weeks have proven anything, it’s that Ohio State can’t start slow. They have throughout much of the season so far. Against a top-20 team, one that has a solid defense, they can’t afford to start slow.
The Buckeyes have an opportunity to prove that they belong with some of the country’s best teams. With only four weeks to show that, time is running out. But never count out Ohio State, especially with Meyer in charge.
Ohio State and Michigan State are set to kick off the top-20 showdown at 12 p.m. ET Saturday afternoon.
