Indiana isn’t TCU. The Hoosiers aren’t Penn State.
Let’s be honest, it may be tough for some Ohio State Buckeyes fans to get amped and ready for a program like Indiana, who will travel to Columbus to take on the scarlet and gray Saturday afternoon. The same can be said for the players as well. Expected to win by a wide margin, the Buckeyes will have a tougher time getting ready and hyped for the Hoosiers than they did for either the Horned Frogs or Nittany Lions.
Luckily, Ohio State’s video and graphics team is here to save the day, much like they have been all season. If you were to just watch the video, you would never know that the Buckeyes are playing against an opponent that they should dominate this weekend. In fact, you might even think that it’s one of the biggest games of the season.
The video begins with defensive backs coach Alex Grinch talking to the players about the pregame Skull Session at St. John Arena and the players high-fiving fans, explaining that there are only so many more times that they can actually do that and they will eventually graduate and not be able to do that sort of thing again. They’re mainly making sure that the players don’t have any regrets, including the way they play on the field and dealing with everything that goes into gameday.
With plenty of highlights from last Saturday night’s win at Penn State, the video features a plethora of Buckeyes. It concludes by showing Buckeye Nation and the team inside The Shoe, a place they are set to return to for this Saturday afternoon’s Homecoming game.
The Buckeyes can’t afford to let up, no matter who their opponent may be. They need to take advantage of weaker opponents in order to not only work on and improve their game against another opponent but also dominate lesser opponents to make sure that they impress poll voters (and eventually the College Football Playoff committee) as much as they possibly can.
The Buckeyes and Hoosiers are set to kickoff at 4 p.m. ET inside The Horseshoe Saturday afternoon.
