Buckeyes release trailer for Big Ten opener against Rutgers

Ohio State Football

Over the last two years, the Ohio State Buckeyes have outscored the Rutgers, 114-0. Since the Scarlet Knights joined the Big Ten, the scarlet and gray have outscored them, 219-24. It hasn’t been a pretty sight in the four blowouts.

With that said, it may be hard to get energized or motivated for this Saturday’s game between the two conference opponents. Well, if any member of Buckeye Nation or even a member of Ohio State’s football team needs a boost ahead of kickoff, the always outstanding Ohio State football graphics and video team have you covered, like usual. This week’s game trailer doubles as a trailer for Big Ten play as well.

Featuring Johnnie Dixon, the wide receiver delivers a monologue, one that fits the “win the moment” mantra that the Buckeyes have seemingly carried since the beginning of spring practice.

Some highlights from Ohio State’s win over Oregon State in the season opener spewed throughout the video, while different voices talk in the background throughout the trailer.

“This is an opportunity to make a statement to the world about who the Buckeyes are,” a voice says in the background. “Remember everybody’s journey. Remember your lives. All that pain, all that sweat, all that grinding. For what? To come out here and ball, to be the light of your family, to be the light of this team, to be the light of this university.”

Although this preview trailer may not make you want to run through a wall quite as much as the one that was made for the season opener against Oregon State, it sure will get you ready for some football and to represent the scarlet and gray.

With head coach Urban Meyer allowed back at practice, all while he’s still suspended for the next two games, the players most likely won’t need any extra motivation, but if they do, they may just want to turn to YouTube and search their team’s video trailer ahead of their Big Ten opener against Rutgers Saturday afternoon.
