Pitcher Preview Sonny Gray Versus the Cleveland Indians
October 5, 2017Optimizing the Indians lineup against right-handed starters
October 5, 2017Much like the football team, the Ohio State Buckeyes video and graphic team must come up with new, unique content as the season continues on.
Known to be one of the biggest hype coaches on the staff, strength and condition coach Mickey Marotti opens the video by asking the team some questions: “Do they fear you? Will they respect you?” The video then cuts to both coaches and players getting the Buckeyes hyped up prior to the games that they have played so far this season.
While Urban Meyer is seen talking to different players in the video, his voice is heard throughout:
“2017 Ohio State Buckeyes. What are we? Do what you do and do it better than you ever have tonight. What are you? Do they respect you? … Do they fear the Ohio State Buckeyes? And do they fear you?”
The coaches make it a point to ask to the players about being feared and respected by their opponents. While Ohio State tries to earn their way back into Playoff consideration and while looking to win out, fear and respect are important. You want your opponent to fear you because of how good you are (or can be) and you want them to respect you because you play the game the right way.
Saturday’s game against Maryland will be the first home game of the Big Ten slate. The Buckeyes’ first two conference games were on the road. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. ET on FOX.
