Video Reaction To Indians’ 4-0 Victory in Game 1 of ALDS
October 6, 2017Know Your Opponent: The Maryland Terrapins
October 7, 2017After a thrilling victory in Game 1, the Cleveland Indians face old friend C.C. Sabathia and the New York Yankees on Friday night.
Mike Hattery has been writing his fantastic pitching previews, giving insight into what to expect from the opposing pitcher and who might have success for the Indians. He joined me to discuss C.C. Sabathia and the series as a whole. (If you enjoy these previews, please also check out Michael Bode’s look at the Tribe’s lineup against left-handed pitching.)
We also touched on some of the various decisions Terry Francona has made leading up to these games; his decision to start Trevor Bauer in Game 1 and the roster construction and why some defensive specialists seem to be prioritized over others. Somehow, some way, Francona continues to make decisions that seem questionable from the outside but work out perfectly. It’s always a good reminder that for all of the information we have as fans, there is more behind the scenes and a human element that we can’t quantify.
Most importantly, I used this video as an excuse to tell the story of my wife’s crush on Manny Acta. While not a particularly fun time in Tribe history, I promise the story is worth it.
As always, please like, comment, and subscribe to these videos. I’d love feedback on what type of content you want from the YouTube channel; longer, shorter, more insight, more stories about Manny Acta, etc.
