J.T. Barrett and Jewel: While We’re Waiting…
September 21, 2017What is Going Wrong with Isaiah Crowell?
September 21, 2017Following their bounce-back win against Army, the Ohio State Buckeyes are now set to host UNLV in the Shoe Saturday afternoon—a game that isn’t expected to be close.
In a hype trailer that starts by giving you a behind-the-scenes look at the scarlet and gray inside the locker room and then goes on the field for their warmups and pregame festivities prior to the Army game last Saturday, the Ohio State graphic and design team wants to give you a different perspective this time around. Whether it’s the highlights or the views inside the Ohio State locker room, the end goal is to get you ready for Week 4.
“Fearlessly be yourself,” a coach is heard yelling in the video. “You don’t need to be anybody else. Be you! But be all of you.
“Go out there and show them what Ohio State football really frickin’ is!”
In case Ohio State players weren’t ready for Saturday’s game, the coaching staff will make sure that they are.
In the blowout over the Black Knights, there were plenty of highlight reel-type plays, most of which made the video. Whether it was J.K. Dobbins blowing past defenders in his best game of his young career, J.T. Barrett breaking Drew Brees’ record for the most touchdowns all-time in the Big Ten, or bone-crunching hits by the Silver Bullets, this video has it all.
Unlike in previous weeks, the team shouldn’t have to get too hyped up for this game in order to win. They are 40-point favorites on Saturday, which not only means that the Buckeyes should score early and often, but also that the backups will get plenty of playing time as well, which is always a good thing in terms of development. Then again, it’s college football, anything can happen on any given Saturday.
Keep in mind, in Week 1, the Running Rebels were 45-point favorites and went on to lose to Howard, 43-40, in what is the biggest upset of all time.
The Buckeyes host UNLV in the Shoe, kickoff is set for 12 p.m. ET on Big Ten Network.
