April 15, 2016Looking ahead to Ohio State’s sold out spring game
April 16, 2016To all Beliebers in Northeast Ohio: Is it too late now to say sorry?
The city of Cleveland may be happy their Cavaliers are in the playoffs, but there may be one big group of fans that will be irked. When the NBA released the schedule of each first round matchup, a big problem was realized. If the top-seeded Cavaliers and No. 8 seed Detroit Pistons goes to five games, Game 5 of the best-of-seven series is set for April 26 at Quicken Loans Arena. Also that night, pop artist Justin Bieber’s concert, which has been scheduled to be at The Q since September 2015. It is expect that Biebs would be bumped. Don’t get mad at the Cavaliers, Beliebers. The NBA made the schedule, not the team, and the NBA’s agreement with the arena takes precedence over any other event that is scheduled for it.
“Cavs officials say should the Game 5 be necessary in seven-game series — the NBA by contract trumps any other scheduled event at the arena and the tip off will go off sans any Beliebers in the stands. The Cavs say they have already reached out the concert organizers to make contingency plans should the concert have to be postponed.”
For what it’s worth, a quick look at Bieber’s tour schedule shows he has an open date April 27 (the day following his originally scheduled show) before he plays at Ohio State’s Schottenstein Center in Columbus, Ohio April 28. So, the concert could potentially be moved back just one day. The Lake Erie Monsters will be in the playoffs, so their schedule is unknown for late April in the Q, and the Cleveland Gladiators have a home game on April 29.
One solution that would make both Cavaliers fans and Bieber fans who are planning on attending the concert: a sweep. The Cavs sweeping the Pistons – the preferred option among sweeps – would allow the concert to continue as scheduled. While it’s quite possible that Cleveland could sweep Detroit, the Pistons would have to win just one of the first four games to move the Bieber concert to another date.
While Bieber’s fans could potentially be disappointed if his concert does have to be moved, the pop singer is a big sports fan and will likely understand. He attended LeBron James’ first game back with the Cavaliers after announcing that he will return to the wine and gold prior to the 2014-15 season.

Can they cancel it period?
in actuality, his latest album shows some real growth. Don’t dismiss it before you listen.
In the words of Ricky Gervais…
“One claimed to be ‘four times better,’ but when you look at the fine print you realize they mean four times better than they used to be. If you’re four times better than you used to be, and you’re still not the best, your tag line should be, ‘Not as rubbish as we were.’”
haha. no, seriously, i gave it a listen. Not exactly my style, but it’s a departure from his other stuff. At least worth hearing.
