A Season of Highs and Low-rys: Cavs-Raptors, Behind the Box Score
February 27, 2016WFNY on WWE: An early look at the WrestleMania 32 headliners
February 27, 2016With two vacant roster spots that were created in the Anderson Varejao and Jared Cunningham three-team trade and Joe Harris trade to Orlando, the Cleveland Cavaliers have signed shooting guard Jordan McRae to a 10-day contract, according to upsidemotor.com’s Chris Reichert.
This will be McRae’s second stint in the NBA. On January 29, the Phoenix Suns signed him to his first 10-day contract, and they went on to give him a second 10-day contract February 8. With the Suns, the 6-foot-6, 185-pound guard played in seven games while averaging 5.3 points, 1.1 rebounds, and 1.4 assists in 11.7 minutes per game. He shot 42.3 percent from the field and just 27.3 percent from behind the three-point line.
McRae, who is currently on the Delaware 87ers in the NBA’s D-League, has been impressive in his second season in the league. With the 87ers so far this season, the second round pick (58th overall) by San Antonio in 2014 has averaged 23.3 points, 4.6 rebounds, 5.2 assists, and 1.7 steals per game while shooting 45.9 percent from the floor and 31.8 percent from beyond the arc in 29 games. In 2014-15, McRae played in 13 games for Delaware and averaged 18.4 points, 4.1 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 1.1 steals, and 1.0 blocks per game while shooting 45.5 percent from the floor and 37.8 percent from behind the three-point line.
A graduate from the University of Tennessee, the 24-year old played very well with the Volunteers, especially in his final two seasons in Knoxville. As a junior, he averaged 15.7 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game while shooting 42.3 percent from the floor and 35.5 percent from behind the three-point line. During his senior campaign, the guard averaged 18.7 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.0 blocks per game while shooting 43.6 percent from the floor and 35.1 percent from beyond the arc.
The guard will give Cleveland’s backcourt a little more depth, even though he has only played seven games in the NBA. With a nickname like “Orange Mamba”, what could go wrong?

I’d probably keep him + add (Dorell Wright, Austin Daye, or Michael Beasley) + consider buying out Mo and Kaun, and adding Ty Lawson + (Jason Thompson, Andray Blatche or Henry Sims)
Shumpert needs to get his crap together and start playing. There is no defense that can handle a point guard running wild every game. He and Kyrie are going to get them eliminated this season.
