November 20, 2015Ohio State releases Senior Night trailer for Michigan State game (Video)
November 20, 2015Following his speech at Ohio State’s John Glenn College of Public Affairs Thursday afternoon, former President Bill Clinton decided to visit the Buckeyes’ football team during their practice Thursday night. Known to be a big sports fan, Clinton took advantage of his trip to Columbus and took a little time to visit one of the best teams in college football. While running back and Heisman hopeful Ezekiel Elliott got his own picture with the former Mr. President, Tight Ends and Fullbacks coach Tim Hinton’s family also took a once-in-a-lifetime picture with Clinton as well.
While the Buckeyes have already met the current Mr. President, Barack Obama, following their run to the College Football Playoff championship, Clinton decided that it was appropriate to make a trip to the Woody Hayes Athletic Center Thursday evening, following his speech on campus.
Whether or not Clinton was forced to wear the scarlet Ohio State jacket at the practice because he had on a blue suit is for another conversation, but it shows that even a former President can’t get away with wearing blue when Meyer is around. Either way, the fact that a former President took the time to visit the football team while in Columbus is pretty cool for Meyer and company.
Even with such a big game Saturday against No. 9 Michigan State, Meyer decided that it was alright to have a little Presidential distraction following Ohio State’s practice.
Although kicker Sean Nuernberger couldn’t get a picture with Clinton, he took to Twitter to talk about how special it was to have him at practice Thursday night.
Thought today was gonna be a normal day…Ended up meeting @billclinton #goamerica

Now that it seems as though the scarlet and gray have former Mr. President’s seal of approval, here’s to hoping Clinton brought some luck to the Buckeyes, as they prepare for their two biggest games of the regular season the next two weeks.
