Cleveland Browns Training Camp Day 4: In Pictures
August 3, 2015Browns end broadcast partnership with SportsTime Ohio
August 3, 2015The alternate jersey seems to be a hot commodity in the college football world, and the Ohio State Buckeyes have had their fair share. On Sunday, Tidewater News reporter (and former Ohio State student) Andrew Lind tweeted a picture of what could possibly be a new alternate jersey for the Buckeyes this season. The glaring difference that the rumored jersey has from all the others — it is black. Ohio State has never had a black jersey. Along with them, Nike has supposedly made black jerseys for eight other big-time schools as well, including Texas, Oregon, and Florida State.
According to Eleven Warriors, the Buckeyes will wear these black jerseys in their prime time tilt against the Penn State Nittany Lions on October 17. Former Ohio State offensive tackle, Kirk Barton, seems to think that the Buckeyes will be sporting black jerseys against the Nittany Lions as well.
Although these might be the jerseys, it seems as though the picture that Lind tweeted are ones of T-shirt jerseys, which means that they could look much different when they are transformed into a football jersey (and have pads underneath them).
In case you forgot, Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer had a picture of a possibly black alternate jersey laying on his desk last season. With just over a month before the season starts, the Buckeyes will look to fight through their four suspensions in their opening game at Virginia Tech. Keep in mind, the scarlet and gray are listed as double-digit favorites in ever regular season game in 2015.

Not an OSU fan but that faux-jersey looks so good I might have to buy one.
