July 23, 2015MLB Trade Rumors: Lonnie Chisenhall reportedly available
July 23, 2015Former Cleveland Browns quarterback Tim Couch’s Lexington, Kentucky home is now on the market, and for a very affordable $4.75 million. Featuring an elevator, fitness/exercise room, four-car garage, five bedrooms, six full and three half baths, basketball court, wet bar, wine cellar, and full home theater, the home nine miles southeast of the University of Kentucky would be any Wildcat’s dream.
The listing on Movoto’s website makes quite a pitch:
Live a great life in this secluded two-story situated in a gated community on 10 gorgeous acres. It is a revelation to find such a beautifully designed home that offers such features as full home theater, wine cellar and 4-car garage. 5 bedrooms, 6 full and 3 half baths. A truly artistic touch comes with the superb crown moldings. Family and friends can gather happily here and appreciate the gourmet kitchen.
Now working as an SEC football analyst for Fox Sports South, Couch was an All-American and Heisman finalist at Kentucky. He completed over 67 percent of his passes and broke several school records between 1995 and 1998.
The top selection in the 1999 NFL Draft of the Browns, Couch was hopeful that he could lead a newly-revived Browns team back to the playoffs. After taking over for Ty Detmer as the team’s starting quarterback in the second game of his rookie season, Couch’s career started from the bottom and, well, stayed at the bottom (except for 2002, when went 8-6 as a starter and led the Browns to the playoffs).
Whether it was due to his own play, not having much offense around him, or just bad luck, the 37-year-old decided to retire from the NFL at the age of 26, just five seasons into his short career. He played in 62 games (59 starts), had a 59.8 completion percentage, and threw for 11,131 yards, 64 touchdowns, and 67 interceptions. He went 22-37 as the Browns starter.
