NBA Rumors: Spurs, Cavaliers discussing Brendan Haywood trade
June 30, 2015Happy Canada Day (and NBA Free Agency)! While We’re Waiting…
July 1, 2015If a potential trend within the first three months of the season is indeed emerging, the Cleveland Indians are in for a big month as the baseball calendar turns to July—and they sure need it. The Indians went 7-14 in April, 17-12 in May, and are a dismal 9-15 in June with one game left to be played.
All signs point to the Indians having a bounce back month as they sit seven games under .500 and 11 games back of the Kansas City Royals for first place in the AL Central. The team is trying to ride the constant hitting barrage from Jason Kipnis, who is hitting .348 with five home runs and 32 RBI. Unfortunately, he’s been the sole driving force for the offense on too many occasions.
But with an uptick in winning on the horizon, below are the most and least expensive tickets for Cleveland Indians games on the secondary market for the month of July, with information provided by Razorgator.com.
Most Expensive: 7/3/2015 | Pittsburgh Pirates vs. Cleveland Indians | PNC Park | Average Price: $84.87 | Get-in Price: $36
The Pittsburgh Pirates have been playing like one of the best teams in the National League towards the end of June, and fans have been attending Pirates games in flocks as a result. Unfortunately, though, they are in the same division as the MLB-best St. Louis Cardinals, who are running away with the NL Central. The Pirates boast a strong 24-14 home record, which makes this series a tough task for the Tribe to pick up road victories.
7/31/2015 | Oakland Athletics vs. Cleveland Indians | O.co Coliseum | Average Price: $71.67 | Get-in Price: $23 | Fireworks Night
The last day of the month at the O.co Coliseum in Oakland will feature fireworks after the game when the Indians face the Athletics. If the Indians want to make a run up the standings, they are going to have to start winning games against teams at the bottom of their divisions, such as their opponent in this affair, the Athletics. They shouldn’t overestimate them, though, as many people believe Oakland has played far better than their record indicates.
Least Expensive: 7/1/2015 | Tampa Bay Rays vs. Cleveland Indians | Tropicana Field | Average Price: $28 | Get-in Price: $7
The Rays have the worst attendance in the Majors and are usually on a team’s least expensive tickets list if they are on the calendar — although it’s not because of the product on the field. The Rays are tied for first with the Baltimore Orioles in the AL East division and have a pitching staff led by Chris Archer that can win a series against any team around the league. Archer is one of the top candidates for the AL Cy Young this year, and may have to do battle with last year’s Cy Young award-winner, Corey Kluber of the Indians.
