The Cleveland Cavaliers beat the Bulls in Game 5 to take a 3-2 lead in the Eastern Conference Semi-finals, but not before some fireworks went off. In the fourth quarter with the Cavaliers holding a ten-point lead, Matthew Dellavedova got tied up with Taj Gibson throughout a play. Ultimately Gibson pushed Delly to the floor, Delly scissored his legs around Gibson’s ankle, and Gibson kicked the diminutive Cavaliers guard on his way out of the scrum.
After a brief consultation with the court-side video monitors, the referees assessed a flagrant-two to Taj Gibson and he was sent off for the night. Watch the whole thing as the play develops. He and Delly were locked up in some physical play well before the kick that saw Gibson get sent to the showers.
