February 27, 2015Though they were once thought to be leaders in the clubhouse, the Cleveland Cavaliers will not be signing future Hall of Famer Ray Allen. ESPN’s Brian Windhorst reports via ESPN Cleveland that Allen may not play for any team this season, but if he does choose to lace them back up, it won’t be with the Wine and Gold.
Windhorst: "Ray Allen is not gonna sign with the Cavs. I don't think he's gonna play. If he decides he wants to, it won't be with the Cavs."

Allen, 39, has not announced whether he will play this season or retire despite training throughout the winter. After playing with LeBron James and a host of other Cavaliers for the last two seasons in Miami, Allen has been linked to the team throughout this season and has been the target of James recruiting. Having acquired Kendrick Perkins via free agency, the Cavaliers’ roster stands at 15. Recent acquisitions have also bolstered the team’s shooting guard spot as JR Smith and Iman Shumpert have filled in admirably.
The Houston Rockets, Atlanta Hawks and Washington Wizards are among the teams which have contacted Allen. The Cavaliers have won four straight games, 19 of their last 21, and are currently the No. 3 seed in the Eastern Conference. They play at the Indiana Pacers on Friday.

I don’t want Ray Allen but because Windhorst says it doesn’t make it true, or news.
OK peace be with you, Ray. Let the news cycle move onto the next thing.
If I had to picke between Allen and Perkins, I’d have picked Perkins anyway. He fills a bigger need.
Ray who? I might have been a little disappointed if he spurned us when we were 19-20. Im not too worried about it nowadays.
With how everyone else has been shooting, don’t really need him…unless Kyrie is hurt
*yawn* who now?

Hardly a big deal.
Yeah Ray…go get all those “Crunch Time” minutes you want…with Washington. Snicker…
Let me know how that works out for you. 😉
