Talking About Clay Matthews: Reliving Yesteryear
November 14, 2014Board Game Review: 7 Wonders
November 14, 2014The Browns have been without star receiver Josh Gordon for the entire season, but that will finally change this coming Monday. According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, the NFL has confirmed to ESPN that Gordon “will be clear to resume normal activities without restriction.” This news puts away any doubt that some fans may have that Gordon might not be reinstated. With the Phil Taylor season-ending injury news, Gordon returning on Monday is a huge pick-me-up. The game this Sunday versus the Houston Texans will be the last game of Gordon’s ten game suspension for failing an NFL drug test.
Josh Gordon’s addition to the team is a huge boost and gives quarterback Brian Hoyer a huge playmaker in the passing game. Gordon’s return gives the Browns one of the best receivers in the league and one of the toughest matchups for defenses to defend against. Last season, Gordon had 87 receptions for 1,646 yards and nine touchdowns. His 1,646 receiving yards were the most yards in the entire NFL last season. That performance was after he missed the first two games last year because of another suspension.
With his return, the Browns’ other receivers should improve too. Andrew Hawkins will be able to move to his natural position as the slot receiver and really be a matchup nightmare in the middle of the field. Miles Austin will be able to complement Gordon as the number two receiver on the outside. Also once tight end Jordan Cameron returns from his concussion, Cameron will pair up with Gordon and make a dangerous receiving duo. Just think, the Browns are 6-3 this season without having their top two offensive playmakers, Josh Gordon and Jordan Cameron. This offense is definitely in for an infusion of talent!

Great way to follow up a win (hopefully) on Sunday! Get Cameron’s cob webs cleared up and lets see what this offense can do.
