100% on the Eagles/Lebowski. I never had a real opinion on the band (read blissfully ignorant), but now I shutter when a song comes on.
Any chance of getting Raab on now that things have really sorted out regarding free agency and draft status? Plus, be very interested on his take on what might be happening with the PilotFlyingJ stuff. Supposedly February was the big month for indictments, but it’s come and gone, and now March is nearly gone.
I’d also be interested in his opinion on the non-moves by the Indians, which seem to indicate that they are never going to be anything other than dwellers in the payroll cellar. If ever the lie was given to “we will spend to contend,” it was during this past off season. I cannot believe we are opening the season with an outfield of Murphy, Brantley, and Rayburn and are calling ourselves contenders. That’s as weak an outfield as ever we’ve assembled. And Bourne wouldn’t improve it much, given his terrible season last year and terrible spring this year.
Corey Kluber and Zach Mac, the #2 and #3 starters for a playoff contender? Who is kidding who here?
And finally, even with Masterson apparently offering to sign for half the length and total of what Homer Bailey got, the Tribe still won’t sign him? Are we now just a AAAA organization? If MLB had a second division, we’d be the model operation for it.
