Cavs Kicks by Crown Royal: Melo, KD, Harden and a chance to win a $100 gift card
March 28, 2014Setting the lines on the 2014 Indians
March 28, 2014Having suffered a non-displaced rib fracture in spring training, it appears that Tribe designated hitter (and late-season hero) Jason Giambi is now able swing a bat without experiencing any pain.
Papa Giambi is looking to start the upcoming 2014 regular season on the disabled list, but it appears that he will be able to take a hack at southpaws before too long.
It’ll be tough to replicate last season’s heroics, but the Tribe appears more than willing to allow Giambi to take up a spot on the 25-man as a bit of a player-coach1. The veteran slugger batted just .183/.282/.371 in 216 plate appearances last year, but was exponentially more than a slashline.

of course, Giambi has aged.
“take a hack at southpaws”
is that his new role?
Whose bullpen spot is warmer, Wood’s or Pestano’s? I would have to say Wood since Pestano is clearly more beloved among the fans.
