Browns “lucky to be alive” after turbulent landing on Sunday night
November 19, 2013Hudson to SF – What is the Tribe’s Plan B?
November 19, 2013Obviously the opinions of WFNY writers carry little weight in the football offices at Ohio State.
On Monday, pictures circulated the internet of a new rivalry uniform that were at least temporarily hosted on Ohio State’s website. The gallery of photos has since been taken down, most likely because they weren’t supposed to revealed yet. Perhaps Urban Meyer’s comments about not looking past Indiana this week had something to do with it.
The uniforms are the same design as the “rivalry” set worn against Penn State and Wisconsin earlier this year, with the wide shoulder stripe and chrome helmets with larger than usual stripes and award stickers. Instead of scarlet jerseys with gray numerals and gray pants, the new set will be all white with scarlet numerals outlined in a shimmering gray. The pants will also be white with the traditional helmet stripe down the side of the pant.
ElevenWarriors.com captured and published all of the pictures from the gallery before they came down.

Well, boo.
I hope that the abomination that Northwestern wore last Saturday will be the straw that jumped the shark’s back and will convince whoever makes these uniform decisions that it’s time to stop.
Those get-ups were not only an embarrassment, they made a mockery of the U.S. flag. I have never seen worse clothing on anyone in any setting.
Well, it could be worse. And it has.
A classic rivalry deserves classic uniforms. Enough with the alternate unis already.
You know, I don’t actually mind the uniform itself, and think OSU has done a good job with these things. I just don’t like the setting. I think they should wear these special uniforms once a year only, if at all, but not for The Game.
If I was in charge, they’d wear them for the PSU game. That way, PSU fans can save face while pretending we have a rivalry with them.
Why white? OSU colors are scarlet and grey, just stop wearing white and make it grey. No one else in the conference has grey as a primary color so why does OSU refuse to use it? It would be like an away baseball team wearing grey on the road, its not like you could confuse a team in grey for that team up north. If you watch some of the other college teams like oklahoma state, they wear grey unis and it looks good.
did you miss the Maryland flag uniforms or the ND throwup uniforms in ’12? we’re just getting started.
we already have helmets who do not have any 2 the same exact pattern. i’m waiting for that to make it’s way to jerseys.
remember, at one time, people thought the 1970s Astros were as bad as it could get:

Hell Yeah
Grey football jerseys are not a good look.
Damn. You guys are gonna SMOKE us this year. (Mich fan)
We’re planning to not even get a grass stain on these beauties.
I think all grey with scarlet numbers and black trim, and black/scarlet striping up the leg and on the sleeves would look pretty cool.
If they want to do “alternate” Jerseys…why not do them with our OOC games?
I would have been OK with this against CAL, or next year against V-Tech. A few years later, when we play Oklahoma, go with some alternates there. These are teams we don’t play regularly…so let them get the alternates that we can try to hype up.
But not against our rivals. They deserve our best…and alternate jerseys are not our best.
While I don’t mind the look of this jersey, (as others have said) the setting seems completely wrong for doing this.
