NBA News: General Managers survey shows love for Kyrie Irving
October 22, 2013While We’re Waiting… Changing the rules and 9-7 still possible for the Browns?
October 23, 2013The Cleveland Browns announced Tuesday that they have signed WR Brian Tyms off of the Dolphins’ practice squad. They have released WR Tori Gurley.
NFL rules state that any team can sign a player off of another team’s practice squad, but must keep that player on the roster for at least three weeks. Last week the Browns signed WR Charles Johnson off Green Bay’s practice squad, but discovered he had a torn ACL.
The Browns still have not added a quarterback since Brian Hoyer’s injury. Hoyer had successful surgery last week and will miss the remainder of the season.
Tyms is 6-3, 204 pounds and in his first NFL season out of Florida A&M. Originally signed by San Francisco as an undrafted free agent on May 4, 2012, Tyms spent all of 2012 and the first seven weeks this season on the Dolphins’ practice squad.
He played two seasons at Florida A&M, where he registered 45 receptions for 661 yards and four touchdowns, after spending two years at Tallahassee Community College. Tyms is a native of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., where he attended Dillard High School.

Jeff Garcia is the only Browns v2.0 starting QB to have a winning record as a starter after leaving Cleveland. One could argue that Jeff freaking Garcia is the most talented player to start at QB for us.
Another depressing note: Brian Hoyer is the only Browns v2.0 starting QB to have a winning record as a starter with the team.
In other news, Cleveland.com (in what is quite possibly the single worst-written and incoherent article ever posted on the internet) is reporting that Jason Campbell is starting on Sunday.
