This deal doesn’t guarantee the former St Mary’s PG a spot on the roster, as the Cavaliers can buy out the guaranteed portion of his contract. But it does probably at least give him a leg up on the competition and give him a better shot than usual. Dellavedova was one of the more intriguing players on the Cavaliers’ Summer League team and is now looking to make the Cavs roster as a 3rd PG.
Training Camp for the Cavaliers will open in October.

CHAMPIONSHIP
I like the move… he is a solid 3rd point guard and will give maximum effort in practices. I expect him to wave the towel extremely hard on the end of the Cavs’ bench and won’t be a disaster if the team needs a few minutes from him here or there.
Seriously… I’d like my ring with a small diamond bow tie on top of it.
he is a very smart player with high IQ. he is there for insurance if either Irving or Jack go down and knowing the player he is he wont let anyone down. he should get plenty of game time in the D League
