June 24, 2013NBA Rumors: Trailblazers reject Cavaliers offer for LaMarcus Aldridge
June 25, 2013It was announced that the Browns were parting ways with Neal Gulkis and now we know who will replace him. The Browns announced today that they have hired former Raiders P.R. director Zak Gilbert.
Gilbert was fired by the Raiders over what was reported to be a dissatisfaction by owner Mark Davis with the handling Al Davis’ legacy in a largely negative and dismissive press. After having to deal with the difficulty of Al Davis’ legacy in Oakland, Gilbert will now be tasked with creating healthy relations between the Browns and the media in Cleveland.
“We are thrilled to add someone with Zak’s skills and background to lead our communications department,” said Browns CEO Joe Banner. “He brings nearly 20 years of expertise on both the collegiate and professional level. We are happy to welcome him to the Browns organization.”
With so many things going on with the Browns like stadium name changes, rumored upgrades, construction in Berea, the elimination of PSLs and an ongoing investigation into Cleveland Browns owner Jimmy Haslam, there are no shortage of tasks for Zak Gilbert to handle in Cleveland.
