Banner Report: Wide Receivers/Tight Ends
March 12, 2013Pestano: “No bad blood” with Indians front office
March 12, 2013According to Aaron Wilson of the Baltimore Sun, and several other ‘reports’ that may of course just be jumping on Wilson’s coattails, the Cleveland Browns are close to having a deal with one of the top free agents on the market this year.
Sources say Browns are closing in on their target: Ravens pass rushing outside linebacker Paul Kruger. Nothing official yet of course

Of course nothing official yet. Teams cannot sign free agents until 4pm today. They have been able to discuss terms with agents since midnight Friday, but were not permitted to speak with the players themselves, meet with the players or have a deal completed awaiting the deadline.
Then there is this from the NFL Network’s Aditi Kinkhabwala:
Here in Cleveland, where Browns have $47 million in cap space and where one agent just texted me, "(GM) Mike Lombardi is busy!" #freeagency

So there you go, Browns fans. Cleveland is certainly active on the first official day of free agency.

Although not disagreeing with you, I’d like to formally lodge my general lack of agreement on something.
I wasn’t.
reports are saying 5 years for 40 million.

$40mil for 5 years. Much happier with this contract than the supposed $12mil/year deal
