Look at those 10 votes for my OHIO Bobcats!
Was at the game on Saturday in Happy Valley. Tyler Tetlleton’s line was huge. 31-41 for about 320, 2TDs. 47 yards rushing and a rushing TD. Might be a guy to watch out for in a couple years as being drafted late as a “developmental QB”.
No Big Twen teams in the Top 10 and five in the second tier. Except for West Virginia, the Top 10 is all South (7 teams) or West Coast (2). I miss the dominance of Midwest football.
Bobcats should be ranked. Cmon, Florida could barely handle BGSU. Ohio at least deserves to get on the board, right?
What about Oklahoma?
I consider Oklahoma as South rather than Midwest
Can this site please start showing some love for OU’s athletic program. Even ESPN gives them more love than WFNY
Huge Mich fan. I was at the game in Dallas. #18 seems about right.
If they take care of business the next several weeks, they will be due to attrition alone. No letdown fellas.
CNNSI predicted them 12-0 and into the BCS (w/ Boise, Utah, and TCU now in the ‘big-boy’ group someone has to step-up from the non-BCS, right?)
they may share a latitude line with Arkie and Tenn, but Oklahoma is no “Southern” state.
We can now say that Ohio U can compete with the big boys in both basketball and football. No other MAC school can say that.
One game does not suddenly make one a competitor. I’m rooting just as hard as you are, but it takes a long time for most teams to establish themselves in this field.
Wow, Michigan 19? Ohio State 14? I’m sorry, but these guys shouldn’t even be named in the same breath as Wisconsin (13) and Michigan State (11.) Two teams that are light years ahead of them in talent, scheme installation and overall ability to win games. Now, I like Michigan and Ohio State, but they are both at least a year away from competing with the big boys of the Big 10.
Obviously Oklahoma is not a “Southern state” in the ethno-socio-economico-culturo-gobbledy-go sense. But geographically, it’s in the southern portion of the U.S. I’m talking location, location, location.
But that’s what I like about you, bode. You argue everything, cede nothing, and are a quibblo de tutti quibbli.
have to keep the knives sharp for when they are really needed 🙂
you are right. Wisconsin looked awesome this past weekend and like a real nat’l title contender. so did Michigan State with that elite QB play.
No.
Time out. You’re saying that Ohio State & Michigan are a year away from competing with the “big boys.”
Hahahahahahahahah….
Michigan & Ohio State ARE the big boys.
And the Bucks have had Meatchicken’s number for the last decade. Hopefully Mr. Meyer can continue the dominance Mr. Tressel had and not end up being Mr. Cooper.
