Lonnie Chisenhall Could Be Back With Indians Soon
September 8, 2012Box Score: Ohio State 31, UCF 16
September 8, 2012Who would have ever thought that the Modell family would have more common sense than NFL commissioner Roger Goodell?
Tom Withers is tweeting the news,1 and says that the team will agree to the family’s wishes and had been planning to read a statement some time before the Eagles vs. Browns game. Withers also reports that Mike Holmgren had a conversation with David Modell, which seems to have preceded the request.
This is good news for everyone. Regardless of what different groups of fans might have wanted to do during the “tribute” it seems far more sensible not to put a moment like this on any kind of stage.
Now, about those home made signs…

Hooray! Common sense prevailed
Nice!
One less excuse for tomorrow!
Im relieved that this happened, ESPN was frothing at the mouth over another opportunity to make Cleveland look foolish.
Oh that’s just great.
Now what am I going to do with the ten pounds of dawg poo that I stole from my neighbors’ lawns and was hoping to sneak into the game and throw on the field at the appropriate moment.
Nice going, Browns.
When’s the Tribe back in town?
My sentiments exactly.
gotta be a sign in the stadium somewhere:
Art Modell RIP
Cleveland’s Moment of Silence: 1996 – 1998
Brown fans…no class. He moved a team he owned, no one’s momma was slapped by A.M.
