After all the drama of the past 12 hours, the Indians and Marlins actually played a game, wrapping up their interleague series on Sunday afternoon. The Marlins took the finale by a 5-3 margin. A three-run 8th inning rally turned out to be crucial for the Fish, as Nick Hagadone and Jeremy Accardo were roughed up. The Tribe would add two runs in the 9th, but the Miami insurance runs made it too little, too late.

positive side: another QS for Lowe.
also, after the weekend, we now have a better record than the Cardinals. so, not the worst division leading record.
also, at the start, I had said 12-9 should be the goal for this 21game in 20day stretch. well, we finished at 12-9. a bit of a bummer the way this weekend went (especially against the Marlins), but we still got through that tough stretch awfully well.
now, it’s on to the big AL Central stretch. first chance for a team to really make a dent or put some space in the standings.
