2012 NFL Draft: Browns’ two first-rounders is a fair price for the #2 pick
February 17, 2012Plain Dealer Report: Browns would use franchise tag on D’Qwell Jackson
February 17, 2012According to The Lantern, defensive assistant coach Bill Sheridan is taking a job with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers-
Bill Sheridan, defensive coach for Ohio State, and Urban Meyer’s most recent hire, has accepted a job with the NFL’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
A source told The Lantern that Sheridan will be the new defensive coordinator in Tampa Bay under newly hired head coach, Greg Schiano. Sheridan was Meyer’s last hire on the team after former defensive backs coach Taver Johnson left for a coaching job at Arkansas.
The move shouldn’t be a huge blow to the program, or to recruiting. Meyer will undoubtedly start looking for another defensive backs coach immediately.

Huh? The guy works for OSU for two months and then quits? Wow.
i’d just offer him congrats. he went from DB coach in college to DC for a NFL team. that’s a nice upgrade in stature and pay.
and, he did it in the lull between signing day and spring practices. perfect time as far as recruiting goes for something like this to happen.
Strange that Butch Davis is on staff, but not the DC. And they hire a college DB coach as the official DC.
To hell with Bill Sheridan. As a Giants’ fan, I remember his so-called defensive schemes. This is not a loss.
His kid was a Michigan QB… let him go.
