Hindsight Doesn’t Help a Year After “The Decision”
July 8, 2011The Decision Redux: LeBron Took, But He Also Gave
July 8, 2011It’s been a few weeks since we last sat down with everkind folks over at Cleveland.com to discuss the landscape of regional sport. Thankfully, despite two current lockouts and an upcoming All-Star break, we still had plenty to discuss.
This week, Dan Labbe and I talk Tribe second half – who will be the next to get a call up, will there be a trade – and just how much PR plays a role in upcoming front office decisions.
As a decent segue, we hit on the one year anniversary of The Decision and briefly talk about the emotional state of Cleveland as we head into the next chapter of Cavalier lore.
Finally, we wrap things up with the JJ Hickson trade and just what it means for the 2011-12 season…assuming there is one. As always, you can listen over at Cleveland.com, catch the mp3 file here or listen in our otherworldly audio player after the jump. Do enjoy.

I really like it.
Somebody needs to solve the “breathing” problem.
Not that it is occurring, but it is so audible, almost makes it un-listenable.
the breathing thing should be solvable.
not sure about the volume and clarity difference between the breathing “host” and the “guest”.
Had to turn it way up to hear the “guest” which makes the “hosts” breathing crazy loud as well as when he is talking.
very disconcerting. The breathing is as loud as the guest speaking and when the host speaks it is painfully loud.
Scott, our assessments of JJ are in sync. Grant should have a fairly good read on him after watching him up close for 3 years.
Don’t think he necessarily needs a bad team to pit up good numbers; a running team like Sac might give him lots of the dunks he loves. But in a typical eastern conference half court offense, with entry passes into the low post and his awful hands … not the answer. He also never seemed all that motivated on the defensive side to maintain position, defend his counterparts and quickly rotate either. Even if we see lots of JJ Screaming Dunk highlights it was a good move.
