December 28, 2010While We’re Waiting… MMA Title Shot, Cavaliers’ Ugly Court and Benard Delivers
December 29, 2010The Browns lost this weekend to the Ravens 20-10 and it didn’t even seem that close, really. I just found out how much worse it could have been. How does 80 to 7 sound? Ouch!
What would we do without technology? Someone played a 2010 version of Super Tecmo Bowl with the Browns and Ravens. They recorded the video game, added a Silverchair “Pure Massacre” soundtrack and then uploaded the video to Youtube.
This is why Al Gore invented the Internet, right? If anyone wants to load up a Madden 2010 “Response video” I will be happy to edit it to include a sad Counting Crows song or something. That will show those Ravens fans not to mess with us in the modern age. The good news is that we can now definitively say there are losers bigger than the Browns and their fans after Sunday’s loss.
Video below in case you have 9 minutes to kill.

I love how Mason had 252 yds receiving. Eric Wright must’ve played in this game.
Nice Craig. That made me feel a whole lot better.
Gotta love the old Tecmo Bowl where you can avoid being tackled by zig zagging up and down. Kind of like they tell you to do if an alligator is chasing you.
Classic.
Jake had a 100% completion percentage…something fishy here.
delhomme 100% completion percentage and no pics? obviously this is in some sort of fantasy land…..
@ Ben…it’s not that fishy. Daboll only let him throw it 5 times the whole game.
The virtual Browns must have gotten out to an early 7-0 lead and tried to sit on in for 3 quarters.
ZING!!!
It got really awkward down 73 in the 4th qtr when they chose to play field position and punt on 4th and 2 at the 34 yard line.
You can’t this seriously…they have Jerome Harrison rather than Mike Bell as the backup running back. Completely different ball game.
@ #3 – Kelly Gregg having 13 sacks didn’t seem odd to you?
I knew we should have kept Jerome Harrison.
Did they use up their timeouts?
Who is Kelly Gregg?- Why he is the Tecmo Bowl MVP who is averaging 13 sacks a game.
That was a nice drive at 64-0. Shows Mangini’s team won’t give up.
Lose 80-7 and only punt the ball once? Must be a record.
@ 7 LOL!!
I thought they had a rally going when Harrison broke that one!
7 points is unrealistic. Mangini only coaches for field goals.
I obviously wasted the last twenty years of my life graduating from high school then college and building a successful career. I should be playing a video game from the 90s, 18 hours every day, then posting it on youtube. Wow, it’s all so clear now.
I’d accuse the Ravens of cheating, but it’s actually that easy to pick Daboll’s play in real life, too.
@14 – So true.
And just like the real deal, the Tecmo Bowl Ravens also had the snap count on almost every play.
Baltimore Browns are tough unfortunately I think they may always be better. Instead of the history and colors I wish they’d have left heart and competitiveness behind.
wow you can completely tell that someone was playing this game, if they simulated the game they would not have gone to the play-book each down. also you can tell it was someone or two people playing when flacco has all the time in the world and when he throws the ball deep the defenders dive right away hence someone pressing the dive button. the game was rigged to make browns fans feel worse.
also they kept running the same plays over and over again for the browns, and also when dawson kicks off they dont use the entire kicking meter.
Ummm…noone mentioned that he played Tecmo Superbowl, gave up points and is bragging he only scored 80?
pathetic if you are going ot use it as smack.
Even better, he uses Silverchair for the music. Guess he couldn’t find anything by Nickelback.
The in-depth analysis is almost as amusing.
I could totally do a rebuttal video where i play as the Browns and beat the Ravens by 80 points! I’m not proud of it, but i could…
