The Cavaliers look to get back on the winning track tonight with a road date against the streaky Minnesota Timberwolves. Led by young forwards Kevin Love and Michael Beasley, Kurt Rambis’ squad has shown flashes of improved play thus far in the 2010-2011 season. The team has a nice 3-5 record at home, but their road struggles along with another loss Friday night to San Antonio have led to what looks to be yet another lottery season in Minnesota.
For the Cavs, this will be a chance at a tiny slice of redemption following their embarrassing performance on nationally television against Miami Thursday night. The 29-point loss lost fans searching for any remote signs of optimism, and could increase the talk of just starting over from scratch. Sure, Minnesota is not one of the elite or even playoff teams we should be striving to become in the future, but a win here is absolutely vital for the well-being of Byron Scott’s club. Let’s see how Ramon Sessions and Ryan Hollins perform against their former team, and how Cleveland can respond at all tonight.

Just tuned in…MIN 98 CLE 62 3:12 left in the 3rd. Wow.
Yes. Apparently were not very good.
So much for a bounce-back game.
I really like Coach Scott but why is he not able to light a fire under these guys? I mean not even for the twolves? Wow.
not very good is an understatement. embarrassing and pathetic are better. i would take duke or tOSU’s roster over these dweebs.
125-83 in 4th for Minnesota – nice way to bounce back. If it wasn’t so early the patient would be pronounced dead! Maybe Dan Gilbert better type another letter!
Pathetic. Are the Cavs worse than the Indians?
LeBron has murdered their souls.
How are the Monsters doing? Is their season even going on right now? ‘Cause at this point I’m down for any sort of competition at the Q. And dollar dogs don’t hurt either.
Well that’s painful.
I honestly think that the players are playing this bad so that the team can be blown up and they can play somewhere else like their master Lebron.
So, um…you WFNY guys still clinging to the idea that this team can actually do something useful this year? Or are the eyes opening?
I tuned in a few times during the course of the night, but it just kept getting worse and worse. A 34 point loss to the Timberwolves? Looks like that previous game not only brought the Heat together, but completely squashed the Cavaliers heart.
I’ve never seen one person murder an entire team of professional athletes. And this happens a few nights after he killed an entire city.
Poor Dan Gilbert. What’s next?
The Celtics kicked their butts before Miami. The fact is they are just not that good. I am serious when I say they should try and dump everyone and start over. Anderson, Hickson, Mo, Jamison…..Time to start over.
