Catching up with an old Dawg: “Chad Ochocinco strode onto the field at Canton’s Fawcett Stadium for this year’s Hall of Fame Game wearing orange cleats. That was a no-no; the Bengals were slated to wear black shoes for the contest.
While it was one of the renegade wide receiver’s tamer uniform shenanigans — more so than, say, the time he plastered a temporary “Ochocinco” nameplate on his uniform during his Chad Johnson days — it was a violation of the National Football League’s dress code nonetheless. And it was Felix Wright’s job to make it go away.
For 10 home dates a year, the 51-year-old former safety for the Browns serves as one of the NFL’s 32 official uniform inspectors, emissaries employed at each stadium to maintain the sartorial sanity.” [Vince G/64 and Counting]

On that Browns win-total over/under: “Teams in the AFC North: This is where the Browns will make or break their season. Since the NFL split into four-team divisions in 2002, the Browns have gone 13-35 in the division. That includes matching 1-5 records each of the past two seasons.” [Red Right 88]

“So that’s Brian Rolle. Since this guy walked into high school he has been destined to be a leader and a force on the football field. He is a guy who willed himself to become a better student and person, who is a vocal and passionate football player, who had to overcome great adversity to reach Ohio State, and is one of the most important members of one of the best collegiate defenses in the country. Rolle works hard, hits hard, and is exactly the kind of guy you want on your team as a captain.” [Eleven Warriors]

“Easy, Terrelle — he’s not really a Buckeye. Could have been, might have been, even. And Ohio State’s basketball team will still wear his jerseys even though he left Ohio. He’s about as close as someone can get to being a Buckeye without being one. But really, LeBron will probably just cheer for whichever team is winning anyways. No bigs.” [Ball Don’t Lie]

Both guys at No Logo picked us to go 8-8… yikes.
My guess is he was a Hurricanes fan before the Buckeyes shocked the world.
i don’t think there is anything more ridiculous than the NFL’s uniform policies.
