U.S. World Cup Team Defeats Turkey 2-1
May 30, 2010While We’re Waiting…Lee “no doubt” signing with NYY, Thibodeau for Cavs, Hardesty to Start?
May 31, 2010Sorry for the light coverage this weekend, folks – we’re all out and about doing weekend things. The Indians are taking the field against the Yankees today at 1:05, looking to keep momentum going after yesterday’s 13-11 comeback win in The Bronx. Justin Masterson (0-5, 6.13 ERA) will take the mound for the Indians, matching up against A.J. Burnett (5-2, 3.55 ERA).
As an update, it looks as though Tribe pitcher David Huff is doing well and is hoping to make his next start for the Tribe after taking a line drive off his left temple yesterday. We hope him the best, and it looks as though he’s recovering well.
Going along with the injury updates, the Indians have released a press statement that reads as follows:
Grady Sizemore will undergo a left knee arthroscopy in Vail, CO by Dr. Richard Steadman. The plan is for the surgery to take place within the next 5-7 days. Sizemore will be out for at least 6 to 8 weeks and the type of surgical procedure will be determined within the surgery itself.
So the Indians will be without Sizemore until the middle of July at the very earliest. Not the kind of news that you like to see.

TRADE HIM!
IF SCHAPPETTI WASN’T SO INTERESTED IN KISSING UP TO THE DOLANS THAN THIS WOULDN’T HAVE HAPPENED!! OBSERVRE!
I’ve had/have knee problems and from the sound of that press release the doctors aren’t really sure what is wrong with Grady, just that they don’t think it’s going to heal on its own. They don’t even know what kind of surgery they are going to perform until they get in there. Yikes.
