Jason Donald Quietly Having Stellar Start in Columbus
May 1, 2010While We’re Waiting…Game 1 Reax-Shaq Debates, Celtic Pride, Rondo; Browns QB Depth, Tony Sipp Steps Up
May 2, 2010While the Bulls definitely provided a challenging series of 5 games for the Cavaliers, the fans’ anticipation and excitement has reached true postseason levels over the past three days as the Celtics series approached. Tonight, after 3 days of analysis on an elbow, the Cavs take the floor for Game 1 against the Boston Celtics. The Celtics were dominant in their first round matchup against the Heat which has led many to predict that this series will go 7 games. While LeBron’s elbow will be sore, it is expected that he will play his full allotment of minutes and his play should not be too severely affected. The Celtics and their fans are confident and feel they will win. Doc Rivers does not expect his team to flinch or change anything, stating
“We’re going in thinking we can win,” Celtics coach Doc Rivers said. “Why shouldn’t we? Orlando is the defending champions of the East. I don’t know how Cleveland has been anointed that already. They have to earn it, and we want to earn it.”
We have previewed the series with in depth numbers and analysis from Andrew on Thursday as well as keys to victory from each of us yesterday. TNT will have a pregame show starting at 7:30 with tipoff scheduled for shortly after 8 PM. Leave your thoughts here as the exciting night progresses. A few of us will be chatting over at Cleveland.com and you can follow all of us on twitter for constant updates. Let it begin.

Any clue why Bron’s in right now?
@wacman: because we must win this game.
BUT HIS ELBOW HURTS SO BAD!!!!!
Would love to see Varejao return to rebounding, hustling, pestering. We need to out-hustle the Celtics to settle this thing in the fourth.
agreed we MUST win this game
are you kidding me ref????
objectively? weve gotten the vast majority of the calls.
on the plus side, pierce made a 3. this is good because now he’s going to try to win game at the worst possible time for his team. (jinx)
Good hard foul, Shaq.
Someone was just introduced to the Shaqken.
Loved that foul!
LeBron is sore and gimpy…..and has 30 pts…
HE’S AMAZING!!!!
why are you taking the 3????
Please cover Ray now…
i have to go to the bathroom after that dennys commercial.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ouch, that dagger must’ve really hurt his elbow….
@lebronselbow very courageous 3 in the face of all that pain.
Yay Cavs win! Let’s keep this up and not look back, sweep em.
This is the worst type of loss for Boston. They can say they played their best possible game in the first half…and lost by 8 anyways.
That dagger three by LeBron was the perfect lead-up to the MVP ceremony. The Celtics couldn’t hit their shots late. As the game wore on, the dark shadow of Father Time began to creep across the clover fields.
Like how LeBron quieted the elbow-mania in his post-game comments on the floor.

Goodnight Cleveland:
#68
I agree 100%
And shut up reggie miller in the process. This is always a good thing.
This is what I was hoping for. Boston to play the ‘perfect’ game and still lose.
They can’t replay Rondo getting thrown down by Shaq enough times.
Pre game intro’s on Monday night should be set to “hit me with your best shot.”
Charles Barkley:
“The Celtics’ best player is Mike Brown”
Ouch…
^^^
Favorite Charles quote EVER!!!
At one point during the game Reggie said JJ had good hands, I laughed out loud.
Oh and Wacman nice pic of Sir Arsene, that was after he was sent off at Old Trafford last year. Well played.
Cody, I did the same thing. Reggie must have missed the previous 87 games of the season.
I love Barkley. Ya he can be a jerk sometimes but he comes out and speaks the truth. I got the Cavs in 5 now. The Celtics turned into a jump shooting team and the Cavs drove to the hoop the whole 2nd half. Fact that Shaq knocked down Rondo and Garnett had to alter his shot attempt driving to the hoop because Shaq was there spoke volumes about who will get phsyical and who won’t.
They ought to give every fan a RASHEED, SHOOT! placard for Game 2.
@ TOT: Rasheed lookin’ scary again in the playoffs for the second season straight. Glad Boston brought him on board to be our nemesis.
i didn’t catch the game did i miss NEthing
Naw Denny you just missed LeBron dominate another team. The usual!
