While We’re Waiting… More Hickson, More Defense, and More Carlos
May 7, 2010All The Rage: Indians Attendance Edition
May 7, 2010While Game Two may not have went as many of us would have hoped, WFNY reader Dr. Cleveland took home the prize in our first NBA.com playoff contest earlier this week.
Thankfully, you all have another shot at winning a prize pack from NBA.com as we’re back with another installment. All you have to do is read the question and post your answer in our comments section. It’s that easy.
So, with that said, here’s the second question…
After two games Rajan Rando and LeBron James are the only two players who have racked up more than 40 points overall. Check out the rest of the totals at NBA.com and let us know who you think will hit the 40 point mark by Game 3. Winner receives a free prize package from NBA.com to our readers.
Don’t forget that we’re competing against the guys over at Red’s Army so let’s make this count, folks!

Mr. Ray Allen
KG. I hope Allen hits a little slump as he has in the past against an increased Cavs D.
Kevin Garnett & Ray Allen for sure, Pierce is likely, and if the Cavs actually want to win this thing they’ll need at least one of Mo, Jamison, & Hickson to do it.
Kevin Garnett
I am going with Garnett…they are going to try to keep exposing the matchup with Jamison.
Ray Allen, Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, Antawn Jamison and Mo Williams
Kevin Garnett
Scalabrine
Pierce. He’s due to wake up, and Garnett is banged up.
Wait….are we supposed to list all the players that will hit 40 pts total? If that’s the case:
KG
Ray Allen
Tawn
Mo
I think it will be one of the players that are on the Cleveland or Boston rosters.
Oh, a list? Gimme Pierce, Garnett and Jamison.
Ray Ray, KG, PP.
Tawn, Mo, and (hopefully) JJ.
While Allen has the edge for the celts to bang out 40 the real contender is Mo. With stats relatively even throughout two games in paint points and turnovers an outside presence will really boost the cav’s offense, of course if he’s on. If he gets out of the slump we’ve seen through two, and nails five or six buckets from downtown, no doubt mo could set up for 40+ (not to mention give LB some great assists).
I’ll say LBJ adds another 40 points to his series total.
KG, Ray Allen, Jamison
Ray Allen, KG, Jamison, Pierce
It’s gotta be Antwan Jamison and Mo Williams. Jamison needs to step up and have a career game tonight, that’s why he’s here. Brown will figure out another way to slow down Rondo (Mo won’t guard him at all) and that will keep his legs fresh and allow him to score via the mid range J and 3 ball.
Garnett, Jamison, Pierce, Allen. I feel creative.
Allen, Pierce, Garnett, Mo, and Jamison (not in that order)
If I may change my entry (“Scalabrine” was silliness):
Jamison
Mo
Garnett
Pierce
Kevin Garnett
Sheldon Williams, Nate Robinson, and Marquis Daniels.
Just kidding, that scrub pile at the end of their bench couldn’t score 40 points on a Super Shot (even with bonus time). When it comes to dancing and twirling towels, they are pretty much unstoppable.
Do you ever feel a little sad for the Massholes that went out and bought Nate Robinson jerseys at the trade deadline?
For the record, I’ll go with Jesus Shuttlesworth, then Garnett, then Jamison, then Paul Pierce (if no one stabs him first). Too far?
Viva la Merkin!
If I may restate my entry in haiku form (while agreeing with MattyFos that LBJ will go off tonight)
Allen, Pierce, Garnett.
Mo, Jamison, and JJ.
LBJ adds 40.
I’ll refrain from answering (maybe I’m not allowed to anyway) as I don’t want to double dip. Just wanted to say thanks WFNY. This site is awesome, and even better now that I get some free stuff.
Good luck everyone. GO CAVS!
Ray Allen.
Ray Allen, Pierce, KG, Twan
Jamison, Williams, Garnett, and Ray Allen.
My heart says JJ, but my head says Garnett.
Rasheed Wallace!
Kevin Garnett
Ray Allen, Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, Antawn Jamison, Mo Williams
I can’t wait for LBJ to show these ESPN pundits that he isn’t the passive player THEY* claim him to be. I want LBJ to come out swinging, well swing passes to the wings where our shooters knock down threes. I’d like LBJ to have a double double assist/rebound night at half. Get involved on every aspect of the game, like usual, but at a higher level then normal. So ESPN will stop talking about your ‘fake’ injury and they can go back to talking about how much of a grinder Kobe is. I mean, Kobe has had like 12 broken fingers this year, three bad knees, a couple of bad backs, a twisted ankle, and probably a concussion or two and he’s still on the top of his game night in and night-capped ice bath out.
* Skip Bayless, Jalen “Injury is mental” Rose, Jon or Brent or Steven or Alec Barry or Baldwin (whichever Baldwin/Barry brother is on ESPN) Kenny Smith (not ESPN, but still a subscriber to the Durant fan club), John Buccigross (why does he even have an opinion on sports? His job is to read a prepared script from some ghost writer) I’m sure there are more that I’ve forgotten. But it’s time for LBJ to take over a game like he did against the Pistons.
Kevin Garnett.
This contest should have been “name the player who will be the next to cross the 40 point threshold.”
It shoulda.
Allen, pierce, garnett ,mo williams
forget the celtics – the Celts fans will clearly have covered every celt player as an answer, including Larry Bird. JJ Hickson is going to have a monster game tonight. 20 points if Mike Brown gives him the 30 minutes he should have.
also antawn is pretty much a lock.
Antawn Jamison, Ray Allen, KG
Ray Allen, Garnett, Antawn, Paul Pierce, and Mo Gotti. Mo’s a stretch but I’m a believer.
Antwan.
And I thought Red’s Army was a site dedicated to Delonte and his guns… crap.
J2theB FTW
I’m going with KG, Ray Allen, Paul Pierce, Mo Williams, JJ, Jamison. (For the Cavs sake, let’s hope those names of Cavs players are right!)
JJ
Paul Pierce
Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen, and Antawn Jamison
Antawn.
