Looking at some of the immediate reactions to the Delhomme signing: “Not this time. An uproar immediately greeted the signing of Delhomme. Here’s a sample from Twitter and the Watercooler in the first thirty minutes after Delhomme was signed” [Barry McBride/Orange and Brown Report]

Trying to spin the news and present both sides of the argument: “Those are the negatives. Let’s take a look at some of the positives right now though, under the assumption that Delhomme has and never will be one of the league’s top-tier quarterbacks” [Chris Pokorny/Dawgs By Nature]

Just because Holmgren has had good offenses in the past, doesn’t mean this is a given: “Few men in the NFL today understand better what makes a modern quarterback than Cleveland Browns team president Mike Holmgren…. That said, his latest project could be a doozy.” [Doug Farrar/Shutdown Corner]

In time for today’s Celtics game, here are some fighting words from Kendrick Perkins about the Cavs minus Shaq: “‘I think they’re better,’’ Perkins said. ‘They can run more. You’ve got Anderson Varejao, who is more of an active body, he gets LeBron [James] open a lot, opens up the paint for them.'” [Frank Dell’Apa/Boston Globe]

Brian Windhorst looks into the facts and possible scenarios with the future coaching career of LeBron James: “James, a student of the game’s history, knows this and can feel it. Wow, unbelievable that Minnesota led Purdue 37-11 at halftime en route to a semifinal win: “It’s not a misprint, just the result of a half of missteps from the Boilermakers, who are so reduced by Robbie Hummel’s injury that calling them shadows of their former selves would be an insult to shadows.” [Andy Hutchins/The Sporting Blog]

The Bobcats took down the Zips in overtime last night, heading to the NCAA Tournament: “A team living on the edge finally teetered just enough to fall off. The effort and enthusiasm was there for the University of Akron basketball team, as always, but this time it was not accompanied by the desired result.” [Tom Gaffney/Akron Beacon Journal]

Damn. Thought the Delhomme signing was a bad dream.
I like BBQ.
Yea more QB talk, not! This move just assures that people in Cleveland and their football fans continue to talk about the position. Lets talk about the Cavaliers, ya know, the only chance this city looks to have left at contending for a championship. I think the Cavs will have a tough time against the Celtic big men today unless they can really get out and run. Make the older, slower Boston team have to run wind sprints all game.
Who is Kendrick Perkins?
Perkins is the big fat center on Boston. IN the 2008 playoffs he was the fat guy whose jersey was soaked wiith sweat 2 minutes into every game.
Not!
I love this….Trent Dilfer take 2
