Saturday afternoons in the winter: In case you are not following the Army/Navy game at 2:30 PM on CBS, you can also follow this college dandy today. Sure, sure, college football is grand and Army is playing for a berth in the EagleBank Bowl, but it is about time to pay attention to college basketball. What better way to do that than this contest between two polar opposites. The Ohio State University will begin the meat of its schedule minus Evan Turner today, taking on the mid-major Bulldogs from Indianapolis.
By size alone for the two schools, you can get a load of how this is a very intriguing match up. Ohio State ranks among the nation’s leaders with well over 50,000 combined students at all of their campuses while Butler, a private school, has just under 5,000 total students. Should be an interesting match-up at ol’ Hinkle Fieldhouse so leave your comments as the game unfolds here. Hopefully David Lighty (pictured above via Andy Altenburger/Icon SMI) can lead the Bucks to the huge road victory.

I love that Bilas said that Turner was the player of the year before getting injured. I don’t love that the Bucks still have to go without him for seven more weeks…
Things I love: Dallas Lauderdale … Things I don’t love: Not having a true center that is better than Dallas Lauderdale
Ha just realized I called it Finkle instead of Hinkle Fieldhouse.. That is silly. Gordon Hayward is beasting for Butler.
UD > OSU in basketball
Jacob: Finkle is Einhorn.
@Rob Lowery – You are my favorite player on the team. Welcome back to the squad, and with you playing regular minutes there is no way we lose to Kansas State (and possibly even Villanova). You are the offensive spark this team has been lacking for the past few seasons, and we need you healthy for the A-10. Keep up the great work and thanks for dropping by the site. Now lead the Flyers back to the top-25 and we can start talking about them being better than the Bucks.
