The 5-Hole: Blue Jackets News and Notes – 10/13/09
October 13, 2009Brady Quinn’s Avon Lake Home Up For Sale
October 13, 2009Since spraining his knee on opening night, Pittsburgh’s safety (and Head and Shoulders poster boy) Troy Polamalu should make his triumphant return this week as they host the Browns.
If you recall, Polamalu made an amazing interception against Tennessee, and has not seen the field since thanks to John Madden 2010. If you also recall, the Browns were unable to amass a touchdown against an awful defense just two days ago and Pittsburgh is considerably better even without the Pro Bowl safety.
Current line is set at 14 points. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s a larger number by gametime.

Hahaha best WFNY headline ever
Well, this is lovely.
I love the Madden curse…. I don’t care what people say, it really does exist.
Over/under on pick-6’s….
Does 2.5 sound about right?
Yeah, well, Robiskie should be activated. Steelers have to deal with that, and they have very little tape to study.

Well done.
i did, however, notice that aaron smith is out. he’s a very underrated player on their line……i think the line should be 13.5!
Browns win outright, 27-10.
/puts down crack pipe
Let’s just hope Mangini takes a page from the Vest and has been secretly preparing the team for this week by sneaking in plays that Pittspuke runs during practice up till now.
Over/under for Hines ward putting one of our corners or linebackers out for the season?
Maybe I should put my crack pipe down too…
We should get our own crazy-haired fly-all-over-the-field Samoan USC linebacker!
Or we should pass on drafting one. Whichever.
Pathetic. It’s Pittsburgh week, the 6th week of the season, and the only appropriate tone for today’s Browns story is sarcasm.
Just pass me your pipes, people. Carmen Policy told me he was building the organization the right way. Liar.

Chuck, you could be on to something. DA’s promotion has all been a big ruse. Come Sunday, Quinn starts, catching the Steelers completely off guard. BQ dinks and dunks the Steelers into total disarray. They crumble. Browns roll. (Hey, you gonna finish that crack?)
P.S. That doctored pic of Mangini in a sweater vest is hilarious! You win Post of the Day!
Anyone else think Mangini could actually rock that sweater vest?
Really though, as soon as I saw Polamalu hurt his MCL I turned to my roommate and told him his first day back would be against the brows. How unfortunate I was actually right.
ooooh noooo not palamalu!!! anderson can throw the ball right through palamalu! gun it!
[…] season with a rotator cuff injury. However, the Steeler defense tends to be a different animal with Captain Head and Shoulders back in the defensive backfield, and as Scott pointed out earlier this week it looks like S Troy Polamalu will play. The Browns […]
