Pronk in The ‘Bus: Oh, What Could Have Been
May 15, 2009LeBron/Kobe Puppets Part 2
May 15, 2009Just a reminder to anyone who is not aware, the Cleveland Marathon will be run this Sunday starting at 7 AM. The course map can be seen above. Street closings will be pretty widespread, and y’all should plan your travel accordingly.
If you live along the route, please stop out and support the runners by cheering at least a little. If you have the time, volunteering to work a water stop is a great experience, and can really be inspiring if you want to get into running, racing, walking, etc. so feel free to come on out – also, you get a free shirt. I’ll be running the race, as well as commenter Pittsburgh is for Man Lovers, and there will probably be a few other readers running the race as well. People that come out and support the race are extremely appreciated, and having a good crowd certainly helps bring more people to the race, which brings more people into the city, more money in, blah blah blah.
If you’re running, be sure to stay hydrated.

Stay thirsty, my friends.
Line the course around the 24 mile mark. At that point, the runners could use the support.
run-ning?
I won’t be able to make it fellas. Veronica and I trying this new fad called uh, jogging. I believe it’s jogging or yogging. it might be a soft j. I’m not sure but apparently you just run for an extended period of time. It’s supposed to be wild.
Here’s to hoping I don’t have to poop half-way through. Good luck to everyone. Except if you’re from Pittsburgh.
Enjoy the stretch in Bay Village, my old stomping grounds.
Downtown Cleveland has a lot less litter right now than I remember
Thanks to everyone for coming out and cheering if you did. Aside from the wind it was absolutely perfect for running today. PifML – how’d you do? Sorry I didn’t catch you at the end, I was busy stretching/throwing up.
3:26:06 – 18 minute PR. Thanks Cleveland.
Did 3:50 – I ran way too fast at the beginning. Congrats on the PR. I guess this one’s mine – donuts did not sit well when I was done. Bad idea. It was probably better you didn’t see me in the state I’m in.
Ha, well I threw up twice – once at mile 16 and once at the finish. Way to finish, keep moving around and you’ll be fine by the end of the week. Just walk sideways down the stairs and you’ll be good to go.
