Shaun Rogers vs. Eric Mangini – The Drama Begins
February 25, 2009Browns QB Controversy: Could Derek Anderson Still Be Our Guy?
February 25, 2009Regretfully, we have not had the chance to publicize Ball Don’t Lie’s 2-on-2 tournament that they have creatively done up NBA Jam style.
Thankfully, it has not mattered all that much as the Cavaliers (represented by LeBron James and Zydrunas Ilgauskas) have mowed through their competition. Their road to the finals saw limited competition until about two rounds ago:
– Chicago Bulls’ Rose/Deng (77 percent of vote)
– Washington Wizards’ Butler/Jamison (77 percent of vote)
– Orlando Magic’s Lewis/Howard (52 percent of vote)
– Boston Celtics Pierce/Garnett (51 percent of vote)
And now, folks, we need your help. LeBron and Z face off in the finals against Portlands Brandon Roy and LaMarcus Aldridge. If you ask me, these two wouldn’t have made it past the tandems of Orlando or Boston. Yet somehow, they’re currently topping the Cavaliers – I blame the Kobe fans. So get over to BDL and vote for the Cavaliers. Show them how big of a landslide it would truly be.

Why is this even close? Seriously, if these two are playing NBA Jams, Big Z is a shoo-in to excel at the “flagrant foul” aspect of the game, to set up LBJ for three straight dunks…
“HE’S ON FIRE!!!”
You’re telling me On Fire LeBron can’t single-handedly destroy any two-man team in the league? As if.

The Blazers are winning because NBA bloggers are in love with them, despite the fact they probably won’t get out of the 1st round of the playoffs.
Good point, boom. They have sort of become the sexy discussion team over the last year or so. Granted, they’re also one of the few teams that realized that they needed to change AND actually did.
I’m still wondering why an actual NBA Jam remake game with current players hasn’t been released as a downloadable game for any system. That would be awesome! The Blazers have defiantely become an infatuation team with a lot people, but how can anyone think they could take big Z and LeBron? That’s just plain silly.
Tron…they call it “NBA Street” now and its fun for about an hour. After that, all the AND1 dribbling tricks get incredibly old and the “Insane Dunks” stop being all that much fun. It very much lacks what was awesome about the original Jam games…goofiness.
