October 18, 2008Kellen Winslow Had Staph, Wanted Trade
October 20, 2008From the early games-
Cincinnati is giving Pittsburgh all they can handle. The Steelers will probably pull it out unfortunately. Baltimore is up on Miami. I don’t know what has gotten into LenDale White today, but he has 3 TD’s and the Titans are romping. Dallas? Losing? To the Rams? I’d say that was a good coaching change in St. Loius…
Have at it…

@DP…Adams has a leg injury and was inactive.
@Lyon…why doesn’t someone from the defensive side make the call for Romeo and get in his face to call for BQ? I completely understand Romeo’s logic on keeping DA in, but if I was on the team, I wouldn’t put up with it. Kellen’s little outburst after the game was the first straw in what could be a internal implosion. Let’s see how the vets handle this.
My what a difference a week makes. Last Monday we’re on top of the world and dreaming of a bounce back season with the Browns possibly in the playoff hunt. Six days later we’re 3+ games behind the Steelers with only the lonely Bungals keeping us out of the cellar and we’re definitely WFNY.
I’m officially and completely done with DA. I’ve never really been a BQ guy, but it’s time. Anderson could have 3 straight games like he did against the Giants and it wouldn’t matter to me. He lost this game for us today. One thing you absolutely need in the NFL to be successful is a consistent QB. The only thing about DA that is consistent is his INCONSISTENCY. RAC and Savage can make all the excuses they want, but dude had a deer in the headlights look on his face for 3 and a half quarters! Where was the intensity and focus? Why is Jamal Lewis pretty much the only player of the skill players who seems to care?
The whole justification for DA is that he can exploit defenses deep with his big arm. Well how many times did we see him succeed with that today against Washington’s banged-up defense? ZERO. He threw moderately deep to deep three times by my count – once to Winslow which was thrown ten yards away, once to Stallworth who had three steps on his guy and would have scored if DA didn’t throw it out of bounce, and once on a woeful underthrow to Edwards that should have been picked. Well, if DA can’t execute the long ball, he’s crap. He’s not accurate and his ego and confidence get rattled way too easily. Quinn is a much more accurate and mobile QB, and considering the plays I saw the Browns using today, I’m of the opinion that Quinn could have executed them better. And WTF is up with our 6 foot 3 QB having something like 4 balls batted down at the line of freaking scrimmage! That’s just inexcusable.
I’m also incredibly sick of Braylon Edwards’ act. This guy has the potential to be one of the game’s elite receivers, but he’s so impressed with himself that he forgets to focus on the fundamentals. The last pass was not his fault, it was another awful throw by DA, but Braylon did drop about 4 catchable balls.
