If you have not heard, your Cleveland Browns will be changing up their uniform a bit tonight.
The Browns’ official site reports that the team will be wearing brown pants for the first time in team history as they take on the defending champion New York Football Giants. But unlike the white pants that the team typically wears, the brown version will have nary a stripe on them. No color of any kind – just brown.
In an era where teams roll out alternate jerseys to boost apparel sales, this obviously is not one of said decisions as most fans will not be purchasing brown football pants to wear to games this season. The orange pants of a few years back bring back haunting memories as it is, which can be seen in the picture above. While the team typically wears the white pants, it appears this will continue aside from tonight’s match-up.
Reportedly, an online poll will be available following the game, asking fans what they think of the new look. While I am personally curious to see what this “look” will look like, UniWatch blog is none too thrilled with the team yet to even take the field. The UPS man in the picture should say it all. Plus, we all know how Rick feels about alternate jerseys. I can’t wait to see what the rest of the Browns world has to say.
