O’Neal to the Cavs Rumors Refuse to Go Away
June 6, 2008Indians Beat Tigers- It’s Crunch Time Now
June 6, 2008With official practice beginning next Tuesday, OBR’s Barry McBride had his ear to the ground during a recent Phil Savage interview. Actually, he was just listening to his radio, as Savage was on WTAM 1100 discussing all things Browns with Willis and Snyder – a program I have never listened to.
In Barry’s recent post, he had the following to say:
When asked about Bentley’s return, Savage talked about how important it was for the Browns to ensure that they and Bentley are “protected”. This was to be done by making sure the player was truly fit to play before he stepped onto the field. Savage said that the physical will take place on Monday, which the point where the decision will be made. The team starts practicing on Tuesday morning.
While I refuse to speak in any form that would get my hopes up regarding a potential return for Bentley, I’d be lying if I told you that the thought wasn’t in the back of my mind. If there is any saving grace, it’s that this team did very well last season – and Bentley was still recovering from his knee surgery. Thus, if he doesn’t return, we’re not as bad off as he would be had it been… I’m not even going to mention any names, but you get the point.
Needless to say, there will be a few thousand fans awaiting the decision from Monday’s physical. You can count me in on that group.

i’ve heard a few times from inside the browns and the nfl that it would be nothing short of a miracle if LeChuck ever plays again. take it for what it’s worth.
I’ve heard from inside the Browns that he probably could have played last year. But they liked the lineup and didn’t want to risk anything. I hear he’s been working out like crazy and that he’s stronger than ever. Take it for what it’s worth as well.
well, it wasn’t long ago that he said his knee was 70 percent, but should be near where he needs it by the start of camp… let’s just hope his forecast was right.
remember when the cleveland clinic almost killed him?
remember when the cleveland clinic sidelined half the browns starters?
has anything become of that?
