Does anything jump out at you?
Well, it should. A quick glance at that far right column and you’ll find yourself not one or two primetime games, but FIVE. Those of us that thought we would be getting at least a Sunday night game have been rewarded with three (THREE) games on Monday Night Football – one of which will be at home on against the reigning NFL Champion New York Giants.
The other two Monday Night games will be held in Buffalo and in Philadelphia. But that’s not all. We’re also up for a Thursday night game against the Broncos.
Some may not like this very much as it takes away a bit from the whole Sunday morning tailgating experience, but I’m looking at it as the Browns finally being back on the map as a NFL team that others will want to watch.
This schedule looks arguably a lot tougher than what we dealt with last season, but I have no reservations about what this team can do this fall.

I think there’s something wrong with your table, Scott. It’s not showing up for me.
My HTMLing isn’t what I thought…working on it
All better!
I’m thinking 10-6 with the most likely losses to Dallas, NY, Pitt (1-1), Jax, Indy, one of the other road games in a typical “what, why?!?!” game.
Tough schedule, I’m really excited for probably the first time since they’ve returned.
I thought for certain we would finally be done playing the Texans, since we have a second place schedule. This is the fifth straight year we have played them. It may sound dumb to complain about playing an expansion team over and over, but it’s just one of those things that annoys me.
Tough schedule at first glance.
I guess we find out how much last season’s 10-6 record was due to weak competition. 10-6 this season would be a major step forward.
Rick, I felt the same, but they too are an improved team. Would it have been MIA/NYJ/ATL on there, I may have scratched the head a bit
I like the back to back grudge matches against Indy and Tenn in the heat of the playoff race. I also love the FIVE awesome primetime games. A Pittsburgh night game is ALWAYS fun and three monday night football games, one against the SB champs and one against the Bills, which might be my second favorite team because of the proximity. In fact, I would expect alot of Browns fans at Buffalo. Too bad they couldn’t move that game later back in the year, so there would be a better chance of another snow bowl. Of course it might already be snowing by november up there, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed.
Interesting that we’ve got a Monday night game following a Thursday night game. Guess we’ll be ultra-prepared for the Bills.
I’ve set the schedule up as a Google calendar, if anyone’s interested. It’s called “Cleveland Browns 2008” and has an ID of henk5abr3uo0q1gjcojjmh5vh0@group.calendar.google.com (sheesh).
How about those first four games, just awesome. Cowboys a top NFC team, and grudge matches with the rest of the division through the first four weeks. Should be an exciting season.
Thanks for that Joe…
