September 17, 2013Cleveland Browns guard Shaun Lauvao was in a single-car accident early Monday morning on Interstate 90 near Carnegie Avenue in downtown Cleveland. Lauvao was heading to the team’s training facility at about 7 a.m. today when he went the wrong way on a ramp closed for construction, tried to turn around and went over a curb and an embankment.
The Cleveland Browns say that no alcohol was involved and Lauvao was not injured in the accident. Lauvao’s car was eventually towed.
Typically a starting guard, Lauvao has missed the last two games after suffering an ankle injury in the preseason. He has been running in recent days but is reportedly not sure if he will begin to practice this week. In a recent interview with 92.3 The Fan’s “Kiley and Booms,” Browns CEO Joe Banner hinted that Lauvao was close to returning.
“I’m battling my butt off to come back,” said Lauvao, who had not missed a game in the last two seasons. “I will see how it feels and do what they tell me to do.”

Can the Browns just hire a taxi company for the season?
Very symbolic of this season…
That picture should be titled: “Cleveland Browns: 1999-2013”
Maybe this is why they never pull during a game?
Well, he’s got the road pretty well blocked, so there’s that.
was thinking the same. Or maybe they need to close training camp a few days every year for remedial driving instruction and a line by line review of the pamphlet “So You’re License Has Been Suspended.”
I’d prefer a video hosted by Troy McClure: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cYNZ1PMdO1M
this is fab. Two of my favs: “Through the Windshield:The Decapitation of Larry Lennox” and “Lead Paint: Delicious but Deadly.”
I’d show the team the latter one as well because, well, this team just seems exceptionally stupid as a group.
I was thinking more of a train wreck
Technically it would count against the cap space, so no.
The game is won or lost in the trenches
So driving safety videos and chelation therapy would be the only reasonable organizational response. I actually feel much more confident about the probability of success with our plan than I do towards whatever they’re trying to accomplish in Berea.
When your goal is “Move deadline for building a winner out three years” it becomes easier to claim success.
