Did I mention we can get you there for free? “They joked that when LeBron James returned, they’d make him play in an empty arena. In reality, former fans of the star who left them for Miami have paid top dollar to witness his return to Cleveland next week.
It actually might be the most expensive regular season ticket in Cavaliers history. Fans are paying an average of $234 per seat on the secondary market for the Dec. 2 game, according to StubHub. That’s the highest average price for a non-playoff game for as far back as StubHub’s data goes” [Darren Rovell]

So, this week in mascots, we not only get “Sir CC,” but also “Boomer?” Oh boy. [Deadspin]

“Jim Tressel showed mercy to his counterpart Saturday. Ohio State easily could have set a scoring record against Michigan, but its coach backed off. Either that or he wanted to keep the guy on the other side of the field employed for a few more years.
Because Rich Rodriguez is good for Ohio State. Not as good as Tressel, who has defeated Michigan seven times in a row, but pretty good nonetheless.
Michigan football is a mess. […] The disparity between the teams that once ruled the Big Ten seems cavernous.” [Pat McManamon]

And finally, “These next four weeks should be a bit of a relief for the Cleveland Browns. After matching up against five playoff caliber teams in five weeks, the Browns catch a break in their schedule. They won’t look back and worry about what is now in their rear view mirror; they will focus on the mediocre NFL units that are to come. A cautious approach should be taken regardless, because any NFL team is capable of winning, and should be taken seriously. Coach Eric Mangini is well aware of this. Fortunately for his team, things will be a little easier this time around.” [SB Nation CLE]

I disagree with Pat McManamon. Rich Rod is NOT good for Ohio State, nor is crummy Michigan football good for us or anybody else. The best case scenario would be that Michigan would be undefeated every year only to lose to Ohio State.
Of course, thanks to the Big Ten/Twelve screwing up the conference realignment by putting OSU and Michigan in different divisions, that’s not even desirable any more, since a rematch the very next week would be likely.
The sooner Michigan grabs Harbaugh, the better.
