The Cleveland Browns have been hard at work in training camp for over a week, and (as always) the quarterback position is under a microscope. The Browns have three quarterbacks fighting for the starting nod, with Cody Kessler attempting to build on a rookie season that saw him start eight games, the newly acquired Brock Osweiler trying to salvage his NFL career after a disastrous season in Houston, and second-round pick DeShone Kizer putting on a display early in camp.
Jeff Nomina sat down with Joe Gerberry to discuss the quarterback position early in camp. Who has looked good? Who is the favorite to start the season? What can we learn from the depth chart throughout the preseason? And what is Kizer’s ceiling if (or when) he sees the field this year. Joe speculates on whether the Browns could have their own version of Dak Prescott.
We also discussed Nickelodeon Guts, for those of you out there looking for more Nickelodeon Guts content.
This is part one of a two-part series with Gerberry discussing the early impression from Browns camp. Part two will discuss the lines, the defense, and Jabrill Peppers.
What do you think? Who are you watching in camp and who is the favorite to win the starting job for week one? Can Kizer impress enough to earn the job or is it Kessler’s to lose?
