July 20, 2017Derrick Rose to the Cavs would be good: While We’re Waiting
July 21, 2017The Cleveland Cavaliers have had quite the offseason. Owner Dan Gilbert was unable to come to an agreement with former General Manager David Griffin, and instead turned his attention to Chauncey Billups as President of Basketball Operations. After a lengthy decision-making process, Billups turned down the offer, reportedly due to it being far lower than the average for the position. There seemed to be momentum around acting General Manager Koby Altman, but that, too, faded. Former Cavalier James Jones then accepted a front office role with the Phoenix Suns after apparently not being considered for the Cavaliers job.
In the meantime? We had the NBA draft, start of free agency, massive trades of Paul George and Jimmy Butler (both of which the Cavaliers reportedly attempted to acquire), the signings of Jose Calderon, Jeff Green, Cedi Osman, and possibly, Derrick Rose.
To get a better understanding of these moves, Jeff Nomina sat down with David Griffin Chauncey Billups James Jones Koby Altman the current Cleveland Cavaliers’ General Manager.

So it’s official? Phew, glad that’s out of the way!
Jeff, you’re even more deadpan than the chair. Nice job!
Maybe Dan did not secure a Plan B but he still has his trusted go-to move: comic sans spit-scream outrage for the common man. We just have to hang in there until next June to be mollified. Patience, gents, I think I see his neck vein already starting to throb. In the mean time, this sure beats bringing Chris Grant back, amiright?
