October 28, 2016For the first time this season, the Ohio State Buckeyes are heading into the upcoming weekend coming off a loss. After being upset by the Penn State Nittany Lions last Saturday night in Happy Valley, the scarlet and gray return home to host the Northwestern Wildcats.
Finally, the Buckeyes are back in Columbus for a game, right? In a video that includes plenty of highlights from the Silver Bullets, a few from the offense, and a handful of shot of Buckeye Nation, there are plenty of hard-hitting, high-flying, touchdown-making, big-time plays featured. Strength and conditioning coach Mickey Marotti is heard getting the team pumped up, yelling that they need to fight for each other and win for one another.
Ohio State may have lost last weekend, but if they win-out and win the Big Ten Championship game as well, they should still be able to make the College Football Playoff. For a young team, a loss like that could make them focus even more and work even harder than they did prior to the loss. It’s hard to say now, but looking back after the season, the loss could arguably be a good thing for the Bucks if they do in fact still make the Playoff. We all know what head coach Urban Meyer can do, now we will see how this young group of Buckeyes recovers from a loss.
The Buckeyes and Wildcats kickoff at 3:30 p.m. ET at Ohio Stadium Saturday afternoon.
